this might not be one but there are awful lot of suicides by train in NJ.. one year there were two at one terminal and I lived across from one of them

My brother-in-law drives commuter trains. This is one of their worst nightmares.

He had a guy hide in the bushes until he got close, then jump in front of the train and look him in the eyes ... Then the dude changed his mind, and tried to jump out of the way. He lived, and (of course) sued.

When you start driving trains, its really just a matter of time before you hit somebody. They take it pretty hard when it happens, its quite an ordeal.

I ride NJ Transit daily, also work in Transportation Field, over the course of a 30 yr career, the avg train engineer will have 2 suicide incidents.
